I will also look at the 'Thinking' part in the 1951 speech, which lead to many architects, designers and thinkers to respond. I will Think about my place in the world and how I 'should not let the economic or industrial developments if the time, or indeed the 'everyday', get in the way of those smaller things that define me, my everyday, being and thoughts.
Alongside these notions, I will consider, compare and connect the ideas of some of the contrmporary design thinkers and phenomenologists such as Zumthor (spa at Vals) and Pallasmaa (The Thinking Hand and Eyes of the Skin and some of P's texts on domesticity, memory and embodied space). I shall throw in some of Poetics of Space (Bachelard) for the record and lastly (for today's 'interactive project'), the Hererotopia's of Foucault's philosophy. I will set out to find some Heterotopias.
I will add links, references.
