Collaboration symposium / reflecting

On Wednesday 11/2/14 I went to the Collaboration Symposium at the Camden Arts Centre and I thought I'd write a brief reflection on that, as it can help me clear my own thoughts.

First though, I must say something about the journey there..

I cycled there as the traffics seemed bad and I was already at Alexandra Palace with my bike (as if gotten off the train from work), so I set off up the hill at Ally Pally. The wind was fierce and the wind chill factor even worse.

I was hot snd cold, and cold and hot.. I was very late. Tired. Hungry. Sweating. Chain came off as I skidded in the mud in Muswell Hill. Several people, mostly men, and mostly cyclists, passed me as I was clearly struggling in storm with my bike up side down on the pavement. What is the matter with people!!? I fixed it, usual feeling of self pride; no one else to congratulate.

I continued through Highgste and past Kenwood, up to the pond in Hampstead and down The Frognal and then Arkwright Road.

Arrived at the venue an hour late. Nice person in the reception. Sense of achievement, at least I made it, made the effort, did what I had planned to do - even if late and super muddy. I washed my muddy boots in the loo and made my way to the artists studios, where the symposium was taking place. The participants were mainly performance artists. Some speakers I wanted to see had already been, so I missed them. Never mind. I found a seat and enjoyed the feeling of having made it and all I has to do now was to listen and chill. Until the end when I'd have to cycke back again...
