Renovating 1901 house, Coventry
A month into starting renovations, there is some progress.. Enjoying seeing the spaces change. Here are some snapshots for now. Updates will follow.
Cleared the garden (tall weeds, bricks, slabs, you name it, it was all there). Then the shed/workshop at the back of the garden. It was waist high in rubbish.. I had no idea of what was lurking underneath.. thought this job would never finish. It took 2 days..
Next job was to rip out all carpets, fake flooring etc., (very dusty, dirty..) and start stripping wallpaper; many trips to the Tip.
Some interesting traces of history was found along the way..
Next was kitchen rip-out, bathroom and plastering.
Students (first year) carrying out a site survey, learning measuring, technical drawing. Always great to be able to learn from real projects, buildings and sites.
