The in-between space that is the launderette, has many characteristics of place. It's where clothes and other textiles are washed, dried and folded up and taken away. It's where clothes spin around In water and soap, changing properties, shape, size, weight and colour whilst undergoing the washing process. Then afterwards it goes back to its near original shape.
In a way, this same process can be likened to the place that is the launderette and the activity that takes place there..
